Settle Carlisle Railway named Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards Winner for 2025
The Settle Carlisle Railway Development Company has been recognised in Tripadvisor’s® Travelers’ Choice® Awards for 2025. Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award winners are among the top 10% of listings around the world on Tripadvisor.

We also have our refreshment trolley service, which provides added customer service on certain trains, and we have a great team working in our administration offices. We have brilliant volunteer support from The Friends of the Settle Carlisle Line, who also provide a free guide service and tend the award-winning station gardens.

Northern runs a daily passenger service on the Settle Carlisle line, and on Saturday, 4thOctober, the Settle Carlisle Railway Development Company will be running a special steam charter train from Bradford Foster Square to Carlisle, with heritage coaches for the West Coast Mainline fleet.
