You can become a member and volunteer with the Friends of the Settle-Carlisle Line, who were instrumental in saving the line from closure in the 1980s.

You can also volunteer to support the work of the Settle Carlisle Railway Development Company, the Community Rail Partnership, who work to promote the line. Career opportunities are available. Contact us for more information.

And there are also opportunities to be involved with the Settle Carlisle Railway Trust, which helps to preserve, restore and maintain historic buildings and structures along the line.
