Settle Carlisle Railway Development Company celebrates the town’s Christmas light switch-on

Settle Carlisle Railway Development Company opened up their stall on Saturday (29 November) in Settle Market to be part of the community’s Christmas light switch-on.

With their head office in the Town Hall next to the market square in Settle, Settle Carlisle Railway Development Company Community Rail Partnership were keen to be part of the community-focused event.

Settle Carlisle Railway Development Company Commercial Manager, Susie Smith, said: “This is a great community event which we have been part of for many years. It brings the community together. We are keen to be part of events that support and provide socio-economic benefits for communities along our line.

“As a Community Rail Partnership, we aim to work with the community along the Settle-Carlisle railway line, connecting communities with their railway and stations. Events like this bring people together and benefit the local community. And we look forward to next year’s Christmas market and light switch-on.”
