The countryside comes to the town centre again on Sunday 5th July 2020 as Skipton’s famous Sheep Day returns to the High Street between 10am and 4pm. It’s a fun packed FREE event for all the family and celebrates Skipton’s heritage, its Anglo Saxon name being ‘Sceap Tun’, meaning Sheep Town.
The famous ‘Sheep Show’ will take place at regular intervals throughout the day – a fun but educational show looking at different breeds of sheep, sheep shearing and even sheep dancing!! There will be plenty of other animal-based attractions including a petting zoo, and birds of prey. There will be a whole range of art and countryside craft sideshows and stalls.
Sheep Day is one of Skipton’s most popular events – and is in the top five most popular events across the UK according to a survey of customers by National Express Holidays. Make sure you don’t miss it!
