Additional Rail Replacement Bus Service between Skipton & Ribblehead…

From Monday 8th to Friday 26th March and from Monday 12th April to Friday 14th May, a rail replacement bus service will operate Monday to Friday to provide a much needed journey for school children, between Skipton and Ribblehead railway stations.  This service will operate during term time only. 

The service will be run by Bibby’s of Ingleton, a local coach operator who provide transport across the region.

Service Details & Times…

The service will start on Monday 8th to Friday 26th March, ending for the Easter school holiday.  The service will then resume on Monday 12th April and end Friday 14th May.  This additional service is term time only and will not run during the Easter school holiday.

Rail tickets must be carried in order to use this service.  Tickets must be purchased prior to boarding, as the bus driver is not able to issue them.

The bus service will depart Skipton rail station at approx. 16:00hrs and terminate at Ribblehead rail station at approx. 17:00hrs.  Please see below for calling stations and times.

This additional rail replacement bus service has been organised in response to community feedback and in collaboration with the Settle-Carlisle Railway Development Company, Northern Trains and the Friends of the Settle-Carlisle Line.

Travel Timetables

Temporary timetables for the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle and Leeds-Bentham-Lancaster/Morecambe rail lines are currently in operation and will remain so until further notice.
