New Opportunities for the Settle-Carlisle Railway…
Since Sunday the 1st of March 2020, the Northern franchise has been overtaken by the Government. Whilst many changes are taking place behind-the-scenes, the newly named Northern Trains are working with local leaders, industry and passenger representatives to deliver a plan of improvements after the first 100 days of operation.
The Settle-Carlisle Railway Development Company welcome this change and look forward to working closely with Northern Trains on developing service improvements for the world-renowned Leeds-Settle-Carlisle railway.
Amended Timetables for the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle & Leeds-Bentham-Morecambe routes…
Due to a series of engineering works and platform improvements at Leeds station, some travel times have been amended across the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle and Leeds-Bentham-Morecambe rail lines.
The amended timetables began on Monday 17th February and will remain in operation until Saturday 16th March 2020. After this date, the new Summer/Autumn timetable will begin (timetable to be announced).
If you’re travelling further afield, please be aware that other services across the Northern network may be affected. To view all alternate timetables for the travel across the Northern Trains network, click here.
Easter Weekend – Check Before You Travel!
From Saturday 11th until Monday 13th of April 2020, the West Coast Main Line in the North West of England will be closed in various places as Network Rail renews an important junction south of Leyland where the line from Manchester and Bolton joins the West Coast Main Line.
This will affect several routes including travel between Morecambe, Bentham, Skipton and Leeds.
Alternatively, telephone National Rail Enquiries on 03457 48 49 50 (open 24 hours a day, except Christmas Day).
